Can I upgrade an old halogen to LED without draining the pool?+
In most cases yes — the light is pulled out on its cable, replaced and re-seated with the water level just below the niche. No drain required.
Do multicolour lights need a special controller?+
Yes, but the controller is small and mounts near the equipment. Spa Electrics units can also be run through home automation or a phone app.
How long do LED pool lights last?+
Quality units carry 5–7 year warranties and typically last well over 10 years — a full order of magnitude longer than the old halogens they replace.
