About our pool pumps service
We repair and replace pool pumps across every major brand — Astral/Hurlcon, Davey, Onga, Waterco, Pentair and Zodiac. Most jobs are back running the same day, and we always test flow rate and prime before we leave.
If your pump is more than 8 years old, a variable-speed upgrade will usually pay for itself in electricity savings within 2–3 years. Modern VS pumps run 60–80% cheaper than an old single-speed and are dramatically quieter at night.
Common repairs include seal kits, capacitors, impellers, unions and lid o-rings. If the motor has cooked, we can often replace just the motor end and reuse the wet-end housing — a big cost saving.

Should I repair or replace an old pump?+
Under 6 years old and a simple fault — repair. Over 8 years old with a burnt motor or leaking seal — replacement usually makes more sense, and a variable-speed will pay itself back in power savings.
What size pump do I need?+
It depends on pool volume, plumbing size and whether you run solar or a heat pump. We size on-site — going too big just wastes power without cleaning better.
Are variable-speed pumps really quieter?+
Yes — dramatically. On low speed they're barely audible from a metre away. Great for pools close to bedrooms or neighbouring fences.
